“When I look for appropriate narration for my illustrations or animated stories, I put my music on, I put my head on and let the story make itself”.
He does not like to limit himself to one form. That is why he uses various tools and artistic procedures. During studies he created illustrations based on solid pencil sketch and subtle value with irresolute colour palette. Thanks to it, he possesses the skill of creating projects of great diversity. Work with commercial projects convinced him to use pen and tablet, although he has not entirely given up more time-consuming and demanding more concentration pencil works. He attaches much meaning to composition and dialogue of elements creating it and also to research. He also draws his inspirations from works of newly discovered artists. Currently he turns to directing of traditional animation.
He graduated from Graphic Design in Graphic and Media Art Department at The Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław under tutelage of Professor Roman Kowalik. Among other projects, he co-worked on film “Cloud Atlas”, and Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games commercial spot for BBC awarded with prestigious BAFTA award. He also directed “Privisy” teaser of Polish full-length animated film very well received during its premiere at Cartoon Forum 2016 in Lyon. He also worked with game “The Witcher 3; Wild Hunt”, and presently he is preoccupied with his own, author’s project.
