“The main aim of a concept artist is to facilitate life for other professionals in the team. Work of a concept artist is a battlefield on which one can experiment on and test various aesthetic solutions before other people start working on it. From the perspective of production, concept phase, if well performed, creates not only a coherent vision of the final product but also makes stable frames on which 3D artists, animators and sound artists can build on. Concept art also serves as a blueprint to which other artists involved in the project can refer to. It enables quickly communicate some visual solutions and inspire the others working on this design”.
She has been creating computer graphics professionally since 2010. Her main areas are concept art and illustration, in entertainment business in particular. She creates in Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. Her main tool is Wacom tablet. She also likes sketching, paint with watercolour and gouache and then traditionally prepared works she finishes on computer.
Duchiewicz draws her inspiration from travel and meetings with artists of other nationalities. Cultural mixture she experienced living abroad became a source of her creative energy. The artist easily moves in various styles. More with a particular style, she identifies herself with colour combinations and themes. She studied animation at Graphic Department of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She has been living and professionally fulfilling herself for five years in Great Britain. Currently she works in Creative Assembly as a Lead Concept Artist with the trilogy “Total War: Warhammer” and she is active in London artistic circles.
