Przemek Kotyński started his career in the video games industry as a cover illustrator, before moving to the advertising sector, where he worked as a conceptual artist and artistic director for dozens of advertisements. At the same time, he worked in the film industry, before finally settling down as an illustrator. He now works exclusively in digital media and gets his inspirations from watching everyday life. Important points of reference are also the Polish poster school and American illustration. He graduated in Computer Science and Mathematics at the Computer Science Department of Warsaw Technical University under the tutelage of Professor Krzysztof Marciniak. He creates mostly conceptual and applied illustration.
So far, he has contributed to Polish press periodicals such as “Newsweek Polska”, “Newsweek Reportaże”, “Newsweek Ludzie”, “Znak” amd “ÓW Magazyn Prowincjonalny”. He considers directing and visually designing the animated film, “Ta Cholerna Niedziela” as his most important artistic achievement. It was nominated for the Animago Award 2015. In 2016, he was nominated for the KTR2016 award in the category Portfolio Ilustration.
