Kozik does not flatter trends and does not follow contemporary artistic activities’ aesthetics at all costs. Nevertheless he remains open for new values and ideas and his works are marked with consequence, deep awareness of undertaken themes and precisely constructed emotional layer. It is also hard not to notice author’s great admiration for history. He creates his works in Photoshop, although traditional tools have a great influence upon his artistic activities. He often refers in his digital works to traditional painting and painting techniques of his own and also other authors’ installations often seen in galleries of contemporary art.
He graduated from Painting and Sculpture Department at The Academy of Fine Art in Wrocław under tutelage of Professor Józef Hałas. Since 2013 he has been working for Creative Assembly and Sega company, although his portfolio also includes the following clients: Editura Alexandria, Fabryka Słów, FireForge Games, Focus Historia, Osprey Publishing or Wargames Factory. He takes part in many collective exhibitions gaining various awards and mentions. In 2007 he gained the scholarship of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. He is particularly popular in Russia.
