„Work hard, play hard!”

Zabrocki is an illustrator and a concept artist who at first treated drawing strictly as a hobby. He started his artistic adventure with traditional tools like pencil, pen, acrylics or markers. He drew his inspiration from works of traditional artists including John Singer Sargent, Joaquine Sorolla. Leonardo Da Vinci. Since 2007 he uses digital techniques exclusively with Photoshop and 3ds Max software. Initially he followed the footsteps of Mark Okoń and Craig Mullins. In time, he worked out his own style which characterizes itself with his own way of dealing with light and shapes and also a cinematic composition and dynamic brush work. His main fields of activities are environment design and worldbuilding for movies and games. He loves to search for new solutions, to practice newly acquired techniques. He draws the ideas from nature, movies and also scientific studies.

He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk under tutelage of Professor Maciej Świerszewski. He worked with many acknowledged companies including 20th Century Fox, Framestore, CD Projekt RED, Universal, Ubisoft, Blur, Wizards of the Coast, Sony and Creative Assembly. He worked on the following productions: “Assasin’s Creed”, “Total War”, “Rigs”, “Sid Meier’s; Starships” and “HALO Wars 2”.
