“Talent is not enough. Success is made of hard work, readiness to make sacrifices and ability not to sentimentalize over oneself too much. Also an ability to find opportunity in various situations is important, to create and take care of relationships with others.”
She is an illustrator, a comics’ artist and avid fan of stand-ups. She is a graduate of Secondary Art School in Gdynia. Her career started in 2001 when she was running a graphic blog Komix. She created her first drawings with use of graphic program Paint. Increase of interest of social media and blogosphere made representatives of traditional media interested in her art. Then she was commissioned with her first job for “Metropol” and“Elle” magazines.
She worked with Polish edition of “Glamour”, “Lampa”, “Wysokie Obcasy”, “Przekrój”, “Harper’s Bazaar” and foreign periodicals like “GQ”, “Harvard Business Review”, “The New Yorker”, “The New York Times”, “Time”, “The Wall Street Journal”, “The Washington Post”, “Die Welt” and “Man’s Health”. Her illustrations were published in the album “1000 Portrait Illustrations: Contemporary Illustration from Pencil to Digital” in 2012 and two years later in a prestigious “Illustration Now! Vol. 5” by Taschen Publisher. She has exhibited her works in Poland, France, Germany, The United States and Japan.
