“The best thing is to do what you want and in the way you feel. A finished work should be accompanied by satisfaction of achieved aim and not a feeling of lousy compromise which lowered the quality of the whole thing.”
He likes strong and radical themes but also those rich with psychological nuances. He experiments constantly searching and developing his skills. He tries, as he says, to convey maximum emotions with minimum means. Graduate of Poznań Academy of Fine Arts (now Artistic University) from Workshop Graphics Department.
He debuted in 1999 with a cycle of drawings “Fantasmagorie” published by “Max” magazine and then he continued in “Wysokie Obcasy”. His works can be found in “Duży Format”, “Zwierciadło”, “Charaktery”, “Playboy”, “Wprost”, “Esquire”, “Newsweek Polska”, “Przekrój” and also in American “Fast Company”, British “Pickles”, Finish “NRGM” or Italian “Vice”. Patryk Mogielnicki’s profile was presented in the following albums: “Pictographic Index1” and “1000 Portrait Illustrations”. As well as press illustration, he also creates book illustration, he designs music albums covers, book covers and he draws comics.
