Bartosz Kosowski graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, finishing Art Graphics at the Graphics and Painting Department under the tutelage of Professor Krzysztof Wawrzyniak. Presently, he creates most of his works digitally. By the end of 2014, he had won three gold medals from American experts on illustration. The Illustrators Association of New York commended his poster for the “Lolita” movie directed by Stanley Kubrick and the Illustrators Association of Los Angeles awarded him twice – once for the same poster and another for an illustration of Wladimir Putin in balaclava for a styled cover of Time magazine.
He works mostly in press illustration, portrait and film poster and has contributed to “American”, “The New Yorker”, “The New Republic”, “The Hollywood Reporter”, “Chicago Magazine” and, in Poland, to “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Newsweek Polska” and “Twój Styl”. The works of Bartosz Kosowski have also been published in two of the most important trade publications: “Illustration Now! ” Vol.4 (Taschen publisher) and “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide 2011/2012”.
