“In the process of creation of films, games, animations an idea is the most important for me. Then I pass to a concept. I like to participate in a project from the beginning to the end and not to work on it occasionally. Thus I have more control on what I am doing”.
Work of a concept artist demands flexibility that is why in its commercial aspects Niewiara tries to adjust to a client’s needs. However in his private creations he ventures upon skills and realism in the same time aiming at their lightness. Most of his works are created with use of Photoshop, sometimes though he backs it up with 3D software like ZBrush to gain more references for creation process. Recently he has started to reach for knowledge from history of art to look up for solutions used by old masters. He looks for inspiration in literature, films, classical painting and also in computer games.
He is a graduate of Graphic and Media Art Department at The Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. His major tutors were Professors Wiesław Gołuch and Roman Kowalik. He worked with the following projects: “Skyforge”, “Polish Legends” or “Pilots” for Warsaw Roma Theatre. He also made special effects for films “The Mines” and “Hiszpanka”.
