Rigorous composition, “construction” of the visual form, avoidance of the typically “expressive” means of expression, visual synthesis operation – these are the basic features of Edgar Bąk’s works, which position his creative output deep in the tradition of avant-garde posters of the interwar period and the formal solution of the Polish school of posters, as well as the poster of the last two decades of the 20th century, which stemmed from the constructive tradition. Despite the purist or, in fact, a somewhat cold form, the artist turns out to be a perceptive and witty observer of civilization-related conditions of human existence.
